Track and Field

Each time l watch atheletes on T&F, it never fail to touch my heart, moved by their determination and endurance for either the medals or simply just to complete the race for the spirit of sportmanship! Never did l expect there could still be chance to be part of it one day...

Its such a thrilling experience to race and
to receive and pass on the peton from runner to runner, to cheer, to clap, and to shout.. Hmmm, really didnt expect would go home with a medal, which initially just went for the fun of it.. :D

African food adventure

Its indeed a convicting sermon by John on the Whole Truth and the Whole Way.. l wouldnt have paid much attention on the 2 characters whom Jesus met on that fateful day.. The bleeding woman who by faith touched Jesus and after being confronted and confessed the whole truth, as a result was completely healed.. As for Jairus, whom l wouldnt be paying much attention to at all until John gave a very comical yet convicting lesson on, was truly a character who we should learn from.. Despite the interruption, he was patient to wait for Jesus.. Despite being told of the fact that his daughter was deadand, he was still focus and had faith that Jesus has the power to perform a miracle. And, their faith's paid off!

After service, went for our African food lunch nearby Mustafa Centre. We ordered Suji(made of potatoes and flour boiled together), a plate of rice and 2 plates of chiken in different gravies. The Africans use hand, roll it into an oval-shape and dip it with gravy and eat. But we, use spoon and folk, ha!The stewy chic with ladies fingers taste kinda odd and too starchy, but the one with redish gravy (tomato+onion+chili) yummy! The African rice too rough for your Chinese taste bud.

Note: the 'Anything' drink is not part of an authentic African cuisine.

My first cookies!

Today got an assignment at W10. First time there and was impressed by the suite rooms which look more like a hotel than a hospital! Was even more surprised to have another part-timer when the ward is so quiet and relaxed. Like what she said, it's so 'sin-lang' (senang). Dont really like it tho, as the time passed like a snail.

Reached home at 2230. Immediately, started on my debut cookies baking! Have always wanted to learn baking, now finally get to do it myself.. So excited! :D

Half of 2007 Gone, or 2007 Left?!

Gosh! Its already June 1st, 2007!! Half of 2007's already passed! Looking back, the past 1/2 year's like another life just ended.. So much ups and downs, so much emotions and struggles.. Looking ahead, so many things l wanna do and experience.. Simple things that l've taken for granted till l lost it, becomes so precious..

So happy today when had an early off from work, that wanted to shout it out loud that "TGIF", which l have not done so for the past 2 years.. :)

The Bible Study with a young girl from China rekindles the spirit to wanting to do my QT and to pray more to God more diligently again.. At bad times, rely on God; at good times, not to forget God..

For the rest of 2007, so many plans, so many things wanna do.. Creating memories for the rest of 2007! :D
